Program and Faculty

The summit will be co-chaired by Brian Gazzard, MD (Chelsea & Westminster, London, UK) and Kenneth Mayer, MD (Harvard University, Boston, MA, USA). Developed by an independent planning committee comprised of HIV-treating clinicians from Europe and the United States, the workshop program will consist of a keynote address, 14 plenary sessions, and seven panel discussions. A full-day will be devoted to the issue of TasP, a half-day to PrEP, and a half-day to the cross-cutting challenges to implementing both TasP and PreP.

In addition to reviews of current TasP and PrEP data, following are some of the topics to be covered at the summit:

  • Implementing TasP – Addressing Clinical and Other Concerns
  • TasP Conundrum – How Will We Test for HIV?
  • Antiretroviral Pharmacology of PrEP
  • Behavior and PrEP – Risk Compensation and Other Concerns
  • Managing PrEP-Related Safety Concerns
  • Adherence – Addressing the Achilles’ Heel of TasP and PrEP
  • Implementation Science – Building the Prevention 2.0 Ship as We Sail Her
