Registration now open for 4th International Conference on HIV Treatment Adherence

Behavioral and clinical interventions are integral to the success of HIV treatment, understanding and enhancing HIV treatment adherence remains a critical goal for patients on treatment, for clinicians who are providing treatment, for public and private health officials who are responsible for making treatment available, and for public health at-large. That is why the International Association of Physicians in AIDS Care (IAPAC), in partnership with the US National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH), is hosting the 4th International Conference on HIV Treatment Adherence, April 5-7, 2009, in Miami.

Speaker Announcements

Ambassador Dybul to Deliver Plenary Address

Mark R. Dybul, MD, the US Global AIDS Coordinator, will deliver a Plenary Address at the 4th International Conference on HIV Treatment Adherence. Ambassador Dybul's presentation, "Advancing Adherence in Resource-Poor Settings Through Public Health Evaluations," will reflect his many years of expereince in coordinating the US President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR).

Conference Announcements

New Conferenece Feature: Workshops

The Planning Committee for the 4th International Conference on HIVTreatment Adherence is currently reviewing applications submitted in response to a Call for Workshops issued earlier this year. The aim of these workshops is to facilitate skills-building and help providers address adherence in their clinical and behavioral practices. A list of the approved workshops, which will all take place on April 5, 2009, on the eve of the 4th International Conference on HIV Treatment Adherence, will be announced next week via email as well as posted at www.iapac.org.

Abstract Submission Deadline is December 1, 2008

The deadline for abstract submission is fast approaching: December 1, 2008. Abstracts must be submitted online at www.iapac.org. Submitted abstracts, including late breakers, will be considered for oral and poster presentations. Submitted abstracts should report information not previously published, or intended to be published, prior to April 5, 2009.

Early registration fees are $200 for IAPAC members, and $300 for non-IAPAC members. Registering before December 31, 2008, will save you $100 off the Standard Registration fees and $200-$300 off the Late and Onsite Registration fees.
