ABSTRACT SUBMISSION DEADLINE

October 21, 2008

Abstract deadline is December 1, 2008

Early registration ends December 31, 2008

Greetings!

Your work and the well-being of your patients, is what motivates us to continue to convene a conference focused on this critical topic for effective HIV/AIDS care.

Adherence to medical treatment for HIV/AIDS is an essential determinant of treatment success or failure. Yet, we still have much to learn about measurement, determinants, and interventions for HIV treatment adherence - these are complex challenges that require multidisciplinary cooperation among providers, researchers, government agencies, and patients.

Speaker Announcements

Ambassador Dybul to Present in Miami

Dr. Mark R. Dybul, the US Global AIDS Coordinator, will deliver a Plenary Address at the 4th International Conference on HIV Treatment Adherence, which is taking place April 5-7, 2009, in Miami.

Ambassador Dybul's presentation, "Advancing Adherence in Resource-Poor Settings Through Public Health Evaluations," will reflect his many years of experience in coordinating the US President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR).

Abstract Submission Deadline is December 1, 2008

Abstracts must be submitted online at www.iapac.org by December 1, 2008. Submitted abstracts, including late breakers, will be considered for oral and poster presentations. Submitted abstracts should report information not previously published, or intended to be published, prior to April 5, 2009.

The Program Committee will review all abstracts for the quality and originality of their research, scientific content, and presentation.

Accepted abstracts will be in one of two categories: oral presentation or poster presentation. Oral presenters are also expected to participate in the poster session. The number assigned to your abstract when you submit it will be your abstract number throughout the conference, including the program book and poster number.

Abstracts may be withdrawn or the presenter may be changed no later than March 1, 2009.

Presenting authors agree to register for and attend the conference, presenting abstracts as scheduled. Accepted abstracts will be published in the conference proceedings.

Abstracts are considered official communication to IAPAC. Submission of an abstract implies permission to publish, and online posting, if accepted. A copy of any electronic presentation and handouts will be transferred to IAPAC.

A notice of acceptance or rejection will be sent via e-mail no later than December 31, 2008 (or February 25, 2009, for late-breaker abstract submissions).
